Decorating with Washi Tape

I know I’m a little late to the party, but I have a new obsession with Washi tape.

A few weeks back Pick Your Plum had Washi for sale and I took advantage.  I could have bought every color and pattern they had, but I decided to start small and chose just four.  Later that week I was in Michael’s {naturally} and spotted some more Washi {they call theirs craft tape} and bought four more rolls.  I just couldn’t help myself with all the gorgeous spring colors.  I’m craving color lately!

There I was a crafty girl with eight rolls of Washi tape and nothing to do with it.

Then I remembered my Spring Pinspiration.

So bright.  So fun.  So simple.

My original plans for this H monogram didn’t exactly go as planned.  I had intended to cover it with fabric and dress it up with a few flowers for Spring.  The whole thing came out a little to DIY looking so I tore everything off and started over.  The Washi stripes add such a fun pop of color.  The H looks perfect sitting on my teal dresser.

I found these little vases at the Dollar Tree. {LOVE a good dollar store craft!} I dressed them up a touch with just a simple band of Washi tape to add a little pop of fun.  They look perfect with a few daisies on that cute white tray sitting on our kitchen table.

These little votives were another Dollar Tree score. {Their craft aisle is seriously addicting.}  Cute little Washi stripes look adorable on my kitchen window sill.
