Lately I’ve been missing my crafty. I was in a slump and having a hard time balancing work, techy blogging stuff and crafty blogging stuff.
Good news!
I got my crafty back! Yeah!
{Please sing that last line to the tune of JT’s Sexy Back.}
I was wandering Michael’s the other day, looking for my crafty {I mean where other place would it be?} and for some reason I found myself looking through the jewelry aisles. I’ve been loving statement, gold accessories lately and the combination of mint and gold, thanks to my fashionista sister-in-law.
I had already wandered my favorite section of Michael’s, the ribbon aisle, and had grabbed some gorgeous mint green grosgrain ribbon. I spotted some wide link gold chain and knew I had found a match made in crafty heaven.
I attached a lobster clasp to one end and knotted the ribbon onto the chain. I thread the other end of the ribbon through a wide eye needle and wove the ribbon through half of the chain skipping every other link. I did the same thing with the other half and tied the ends into a perfect little minty bow. Using a lighter I sealed the edges of the ribbon to prevent fraying.
I love how the bracelet pairs with my favorite set of bangles. It is making me lust for spring.
