February is supposed to be all about love. There are so many different ways to love. You can love your spouse, your pet, your job, your hobby, your children. But, there’s something special about the love of best friends. There’s this tie, this bond that goes deep and is something like no other. Sometimes these friendships are ones that are life long, sometimes they are ones that seem to grow over night. In my case, they’re for 13 years.
On Friday I told you about my Best Friends Weekend to Baltimore with my two bestest girls from high school, Sarah and Bernadette. It was a weekend like no other. We laughed, we cried and we laughed so hard we cried. It was amazing so special. So, the weekend is my inspiration for my Five Things I’m Loving for February.
one.
Bern and Sarah both have Birthdays close to each other. I knew I wanted to get Sarah something special since it was a milestone Birthday {30} and I knew I wanted Bern to have something special as well. Our friendship has been stronger than ever before over the last six months. I found these necklaces on Etsy and knew they were perfect. You know how I know they were perfect? Sarah cried. And the two of them agreed that it was the best gift I have ever given them. I bought one for myself too. It is like a grown up friendship necklace but means so much more. These girls are for life. It may sound stupid or cliche but when I wear it, I feel like they’re with me.
two.
You know how I told you these two have personalities I’ll never have myself? Well exhibit A. From the second they walked in the hotel room, I was laughing. I laughed so hard I was crying. Just so you know that’s one of my favorite things in life. And well these two, they’re perfect at it.
three.
Saturday night was such a fun night. We dressed up {ladies in black} and went out on the town. We had dinner, drinks and danced with such an eclectic group of people. Sarah is one lucky girl. She had friends from high school, college and adult life all come out to celebrate with her. I am so happy she has people who love her and watch out for her in different cities.
four.
Ok, this cake is the genius thinking of Sarah’s friend Emily. The girl loves leopard {Who doesn’t?} and has an adorable pug, Kahlua. Combine the two and you have this gorgeous, delicious Birthday cake. I apologize for not knowing the bakery, but it was delicious, I promise.
five.
There is nothing better than an amazing brunch after a night out. I apologize for the half eaten meal. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture. It happens. This graham cracker encrusted french toast from Mama’s on a Half Shell in Baltimore was To. Die. For. I’m talking stuff your face to die for. I got called out by strangers for taking a picture of my food. Turned around and told them it was for the blog. I’m helping humanity with this one. If you’re ever in the Baltimore area, go to Mama’s on a Half Shell. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
five and a half.
Ok, one more little thing for my Five Things I’m Loving February Edition.
I’m hoping you noticed the new look. Do you love it as much as I do?
Just wanted to shout out to Monica from Designer Blogs. I found an amazing blog layout with their WordPress pre-made designs, but it needed a few tweeks. They were able to create what I had dreamed of and more. I’m in love. It needs a little bit of adjusting on my part to make it perfect, but I’m loving the new look. I highly recommend them if you’re in the market for a new blog design.
If you would like, I would LOVE if you checked out that blog button on the right and shared it. I’ll be working on that myself too.

Looks like lots a fun!!
And of course, that is my crazy sister in the Chinese hat!
Would you want it any other way?
